Get YOUR State on the Map

Campaign

Choose a state.
Make your gift.
Leave a legacy.

Some states are missing from the story—and you can help change that. The Founders Library is building a complete, coast-to-coast archive of the charter school movement. But we need your help to bring every state’s history to life.

Sponsor a state and help us uncover and preserve its charter story.

Your donation will help:

  • Record oral histories from early leaders
  • Collect and digitize founding documents
  • Showcase each state’s unique contribution to the movement

Whether it’s your home state, where your school began or a place close to your heart—put it on the map with your support. Together, we’ll build a full picture of the chartering story—state by state.

Oral History Guidelines

The Library collects two types of primary sources: oral histories and previously unpublished papers donated by pioneers.

Help us tell the unique and powerful stories of the charter schools movement pioneers who have fought so hard to make education better for our kids and our country. Their voices, insights, and lessons can inspire the next generation and strengthen the future of chartering. Our Oral History Guidelines make it easy to plan and record these one-of-a-kind stories. Download the guide and start preserving history today.
