National Charter Schools Founders Library Shines in AEI Debate

The National Charter Schools Founders Library was prominently featured in the American Enterprise Institute’s Education Policy Debate Series, focusing on the motion: “The US Supreme Court should rule in favor of Oklahoma’s religious charter school. It’s right on the law and policy.” During the debate, moderator Nat Malkus referenced our repository of charter school originators, citing insights from founding legislators like North Carolina House Speaker Harold J. Brubaker, Florida Governor Jeb Bush, and Minnesota State Senator Ember Reichgott Junge. These documents underscore the original intent of charter laws as innovative public schools. Explore our collection to dive into the historical foundations of the charter school movement and watch the debate clip showcasing our library’s role.
